From enquiry to a finished job.
Joining Maintara
Compare plans and enquire
Choose the plan that suits your property and submit a membership enquiry or application.
Share your details
Give us your contact details, property address and the property information we ask for.
Photos and property review
You send the photographs and property information we ask for. Maintara uses them to assess suitability and record the baseline condition of the property.
Accept the terms
You review and accept the membership terms and privacy notice.
Membership confirmed
Membership and payment are confirmed, and we tell you your waiting-period and membership-period dates.
Using your visits
Submit a maintenance request
Once included visits become available (after the 3-month waiting period for new members), tell us what needs attention.
We check the details
We check your remaining allowance, whether the job is eligible, and contractor availability.
You approve any extra costs
Any additional labour, materials or out-of-plan costs are explained and approved by you before work proceeds, where reasonably possible.
The job is done and recorded
The contractor completes the job, a job record is kept, and the visit is deducted from your allowance.
A request isn't a confirmed appointment.
We only confirm a visit once we've checked availability. Until you hear from us, please treat a request as pending.
Why we need photos
Photos are required before a membership is accepted. They help us check that a property suits the membership and record its condition when you join, so pre-existing problems can be told apart from new ones. See our privacy policy for how we handle them.
How to request a visit
Members can request a visit through the request form.
