How a visit is charged
- Each included visit covers up to 1 hour of labour.
- Extra labour is R450 per additional hour. We'll tell you and ask for approval before work proceeds, where reasonably possible.
- Parts, materials and replacement items are charged separately. We'll give you a quotation or estimate and get your approval before buying, where reasonably possible.
Usually outside the included allowance
These may be excluded from your included visits and quoted separately:
- Major construction
- Structural repairs
- Specialist jobs
- Work outside a contractor's qualifications
- Problems that existed before you joined
A maintenance membership, not insurance
Maintara helps you organise maintenance. It does not pay for damage. Unless specifically agreed otherwise, the cost of repairing or replacing damage caused by any of the following is not automatically covered:
Appliances, furniture, personal belongings and other movable property aren't automatically covered either.
Nothing in the membership limits rights and protections you have under South African law.
